Inspired Touch Massage
Melissa Payne, LMT

Policies

I appreciate that you’ve chosen me for your massage and bodywork needs.  To provide the best service possible to my clients, I have implemented the following policies.

Before Your Appointment

Make sure that you are clean and free of any body or smoke odor.  Others have allergies and we want everyone to have a pleasant experience during their massage.  Be sure to drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment.  This will help with the breakdown of accumulated materials in your muscles that are released during the massage.

On Arrival

Please arrive on time but not more than 5 minutes early.  The door stays locked until 5 minutes before your appointment time.  If the door is locked, the therapist is still preparing for your appointment and will be unlocked shortly.  On your first visit, you will need to fill out the intake form and have a brief consultation before the session will begin.  This time is worked into your appointment and you will receive the full massage time scheduled.

Cancellation Policy

We respectfully ask that you provide a 12 hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests.  Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing a 12 hour notice, We are often unable to fill that appointment time.  You may cancel/reschedule your appointment anytime before 12 hours prior to your appointment without penalty.  If you cancel/reschedule within 12 hours of your appointment or no call/now show, any deposit paid goes to cover the therapist's lost time/income.  If no deposit was paid, you will be required to pay a $25 cancellation/reschedule fee before another appointment will be accepted.  On the second no call/now show, you will be blocked from scheduling.

Exceptions to Cancellation Policy

We understand that emergencies can arise and illnesses do occur at inopportune times.  If you have allergy symptoms,  a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, We request that you cancel/reschedule your session.   Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed session charges.  This is determined on a case by case basis.

Refunds

We do not give refunds.  Any payments made that are not used, will be credited to your account.

Late Arrival Policy

If you are under 15 minutes late, your appointment will still end at the scheduled time and the full amount of the session will be due.  If you are over 15 minutes late, the appointment will be canceled and and will need to be rescheduled with a $25 fee due.

Children and Other Visitors

There are no visitors allowed in the waiting room or in the therapy room with you.  This includes your spouse or children.  Children under 18 should be left at home.  In most cases, you and the therapist will be the only ones in the facility and it is a liability to the business to have children left unattended.  The only exception is during a massage session for a minor under the age of 18.  A parent must be present during this type of massage.

Inappropriate Behavior Policy

Massage therapy is for therapeutic purposes only.  Any inappropriate actions, exposure of private areas, jokes, communication or innuendo of ANY sexual nature will cause the session to end with the full amount due and a police report will be filed.  All male clients are required to wear underwear or shorts during the session.  No exceptions.

Massage for Minors under 18

An adult over the age of 21 must be present during any massage performed on minors under 18 years of age and a minor release form must be signed.
